This weeks Challenges 20th - 26th April - Draw a Turtle, Test your Tech Skills, Catch that cloth

Challenge time

Every week we set a range of fun challenges. Master Mckenna has asked everyone to work their phones, laptops and tablets to make sure that when they come to class they can show themselves from head to foot. Record yourself and see what you record. Change the lighting maybe change the setting if possible so the instructor can see you.

Master Crocker’s Challenge is to draw the first animal from the Pyung Ahn Hyungs which is a Turtle. You can post it on our Facebook page, onto the WhatsApp group if you are there or send it to enquiries@martialartsforlife.co.uk.

Mr Owen has set a challenge to do 10 punches with a handkercheif as fast as you can. Let it go each time and catch it again before it falls.

Seniors we are still looking for bong form interpretations of non bong forms.

3.30 pm Bong Class Tuesday 21st April With Master Moodie

Jang Bong - Korean long stick - or Bo in Japanese - Staff in English

(Double ended Light sabre in Jedi!)

This class will always be weather dependent because we want you to train safely outside. Please be aware of your surroundings and if you train with a sister, brother mum or dad you may, if you have one, have to use a separate device and be away from them.

If you do not have a bong a broom handle will do. Ideally the bong should be the same height as you.

We will update this page if there are any changes to this particular class.

Training with Martial Arts for Life in 2023?- Kong Sudo Traditional Korean Karate

Kong Soo Do (공수도) is a Korean martial art. Its name is composed of the Korean pronunciation of the Chinese characters for "karate-do". In English it means "empty-hand way". However, it is different from Japanese karate-do. It is influenced by individual backgrounds of instructors.

If you want to improve your fitness and develop a healthier lifestyle why not try Karate.? We are non contact in our sparring, non competitive and we teach effective self defence. As well as exercising the body martial arts exercises the mind too.

You don’t need to be fit to start nor worry about body shape or have the perfect gym body. We wear lose fitting full sleeved jackets or t-shirts. Ideal if you dislike Lycra.

No long contracts and we have Adult and child friendly classes. Our Korean style encourages an ethos of family and Community. Bring your Dad and/or your mum and train together.

We welcome new students at all of our venues.
